Thank you for your interest in this project. We seek to learn what aspiring medical professionals have been taught about menstruation using an IRB-approved, anonymous, and totally voluntary survey. It will take only about 6 minutes to complete. We are inviting all English speaking, 18–50-year-olds who were identified at birth as females help us learn what the most well informed of people know about this fundamental process. We are not collecting any personal identifying information. Your participation in the survey is entirely voluntary and you may decide not to participate without penalty or repercussion. If you feel any discomfort with any of the questions, please skip that question. If you are no longer hoping for a career in medicine, pregnant or think you may be pregnant or if this topic makes you uncomfortable, please do not participate. If you have questions about the study's content, please contact me, Lorie Seuylemezian at lorie.seuylemezian@westernu.edu. If you have any questions about the conduct of the study, please feel free to contact the Human Subjects Committee (909-469-5606). Submission of your answers is taken as informed consent to use the results in possible future presentations or publications. If you are willing to help us learn what people interested in medical careers have been taught about menstruation, please click the link below to the survey.
Gratefully yours,
Lorie Seuylemezian
